Pacha New York is proud to welcome one of house music’s finest purveyors - Grammy Award winning DJ/Producer and recording artist Roger Sanchez for his Pacha New York debut on Saturday, June 2nd. This will be a special birthday celebration for Sanchez with special guest Tom Stephan aka Superchumbo, before he embarks to Ibiza for his Release Yourself residency at flagship club Pacha Ibiza.
The summer season is getting kicked off properly this year with Roger Sanchez presents Release Yourself Vol. 6 out on Stealth Records on June 7th. The Release Yourself compilation series stands out through its upfront music, extraordinary artwork and high-class packaging, each year carried by a central theme, being star signs this year. The album’s sounds flow seamlessly across two discs, with Roger’s signature sexy, soul-drenched pre-party disc, chased up by upfront, peak time party programming on disc two.
Release Yourself is one of the most established brands in compilation CD’s, radio, podcasting and events. Currently, the sounds of Roger Sanchez has proliferated around the globe with his global tour dates, world famous weekly radio show “Release Yourself” and a special 60 minute Podcast version that was recently awarded the Best Podcast Award at the 22nd Annual International Dance Music Awards 2007.
Roger chose to celebrate his birthday with one of his favourite DJs - Tom Stephan aka Superchumbo. Tom has had a fantastic year with the lauded release of Let’s Go Chumbo on Star69 and the further build of his Chumbomundo label. Keep your ears out for a collaboration between Tom and Roger later this year!
