Haven’t really seen too many good radio shows, but Scion has put together a good group of channels…
Channel 1: Vice Radio
Welcome to Miami. Winter Music conference sometimes seems less about the music and more about the bikinis and stilettos. Which is fine. No, actually it’s not because when the beats start thumping at 11am and don’t stop until 11am all you can really think about are the awesome colors everywhere. But seriously, Vice had the time of their lives, sitting down with Boys Noize and Toxic Avenger, and somehow convinced Erol Alkan to make Vice a mixtape.

Channel 2: The Rub Radio
This month on Rub Radio, Local 1200 O.G. & San Francisco big dog, DJ Sake 1, invades the neighborhood with a set of Bay Area Hip Hop bangers, 80s funk joints, and a reggae tune or two! Also, the boys bring thru the Institubes crew, Bobmo, Surkin & Para One, to talk about the genesis of their style. Add the usual Rub elements, a little hip hop, a touch of soul, a smatter of house classics, a whole lot of fun, and you’ve got the best 3 hours you’ll hear all month.

Channel 10: Turntable Lab Radio
This month Blu Jemz takes it upon himself to dig out the mellow heat for his ‘Summer Beats’ episode. Expect a lot of unreleased instrumentals and lemonade tasting tracks. Italian producer/DJ Ceska drops off a mix of all kinds of Funk and Disco in case you wanna get sweaty for a second, then jump right back in the pool.

Channel 13 Clockout Radio presented by Ninja Tune Records
This month on Clockout Radio, the first hour is an ode to Alfred Darlington aka Daedelus, the young inventor from Los Angeles. This mix is full of summer buzz and friendly fervor, although it was recorded live in the dead of winter in Montreal. The new album called Love To Make Music To will be released by Ninja Tune digitally on July 1, and physically July 15. The second and third hours feature exclusive mixes by Boom Monk Ben outta Glasgow, and Ninja Tune MTL resident DJ LUV (aka sweet daddy Luv since he has 2 small children now as his harshest critics). The music spans from punk rock, to disco funk, to dubstep and can be played in any setting, almost. Just try it out anywhere and see what the response is.

Channel 14: Truelements Radio
This month, Truelements Radio drops the science on J.Period’s latest releases, as well as one of his most famous. For Episode #14, legendary ghostwriter and freestyle icon Skillz drops by for a full dose of mixtape flavor with a sneak peek at J.Period, Cannon & Skillz’s “Design of a Decade” freestyle sessions. NYC club king G.Brown also laces the set alongside J.Period for the sequel to their award-winning B.I.G. tribute mix, “March 9 Vol. 2,” paying tribute to one of the greatest ever with new remixes, blends and more.
